Many countries use liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for various purposes, such as cooking and heating. As the population need energy grow, demand LPG steadily increases. This situation causes rise in imports with an insufficient local supply, including Indonesia. To overcome this problem, Indonesian Government plans to substitute fuel dimethyl ether (DME). However, stoves household burners widely used Indonesia are designed LPG. Thus it is necessary study flexibility of burners. experimental studies on substitution DME reported literature, but few models have been developed simulate it. paper aims evaluate performance reaction mechanisms model diffusion flames burner temperatures ranging from 300 1500 K. It was found that existing could chemical structure flame not predict formation enthalpy combustion reactions.
